Theater-Related Recipes
In 2016 I was rehearsing the role of Kitty in The Drowsy Chaperone and after about the 63rd time going over the choreography to "Toledo Surprise" I finally (bad actor confession) paid attention to the lyrics. Oh, it isn't just about gangsters threatening to beat up Feldzieg? They are naming ingredients and a process and OMIGOD it's a recipe!
I took those lyrics and created a custom recipe and I gotta tell you that my "Toledo Surprises" were a huge hit. So much, in fact, that I continued this tradition for a majority of the shows I've had the pleasure to perform in over the past 2+ years.
