I am very proud to announce that I am the winner of the 2018 Perry Award for Best Lead Actress in a Musical for my portrayal of Queenie in The Wild Party!
The Wild Party ran from October 13, 2017 to October 28, 2017 at CDC Theatre in Cranford, New Jersey. This production received a grand total of 14 nominations. And at this year’s NJACT Perry Award Ceremony, which was held on Sunday, September 16, 2018, we managed to take home 6 awards for the evening! (Best Lead Actress in a Musical, Best Supporting Actress in a Musical, Best Supporting Actor in a Musical, Best Lighting of a Musical, Best Properties of a Musical, and Best Sound Design of a Musical.)
A huge thank you to everyone who has reached out to me to congratulate me on this award! Playing Queenie has hands down been the highlight of my theatrical career and I share this win with the cast and creative team that surrounded me during The Wild Party. I could not have done it without them. A big congratulations to all of the nominees and winners this year!
Here’s to another year of creating fantastic things with amazing people! I am so truly lucky to be a part of this supportive community of artists.
