James Marion Sims (January 25, 1813 – November 13, 1883)
Statue of J. Marion Sims, erected in New York City’s Central Park in 1895. Relocated to the NE corner of the park in the 1930s. Removed in 2018 following community outcry and an unanimous vote by The Department of New York Public Design.
